Titanic Exhibition in Paris
Held at La Villette, the immersive exhibition “The Legend of the Titanic” is shaping up to be one of the must-see cultural events in Paris in 2026. Featuring life-size recreations, spectacular projections, and virtual reality, this unique experience transports you to the heart of the story of the world’s most famous ocean liner.
Running from March 31 to August 31, 2026, this exhibition, spread over more than 3,000 square meters, offers a total immersion in the world of the Titanic, from its construction to its tragic sinking in 1912.
Upon arrival, you are immersed in the atmosphere of the Belle Époque with a reconstruction of the Southampton pier, the departure point of the maiden voyage. The tour then takes you through the ship’s different classes, decks, cabins, and iconic spaces, offering a comprehensive view of life on board.
What sets “The Legend of the Titanic” apart is its resolutely immersive approach. The exhibition combines:
- Life-size sets faithful to the era
- Over 1,200 m² of 360° projections
- Virtual reality and metaverse experiences
- An immersive orchestral soundtrack
These elements immerse visitors in a truly emotional journey, from the opulence of the salons inspired by Parisian luxury to the tragic night of the sinking.
One of the highlights is the virtual reality experience dedicated to the Titanic’s orchestra, which continued to play until the very last moments, heightening the dramatic intensity of the journey.
The exhibition does more than just entertain; it also offers a genuine historical perspective. Period artifacts (including items from the sister ship RMS Olympic), costumes, props, and reconstructions provide insight into early 20th-century society and the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
As the visit progresses, the atmosphere gradually shifts: the warm lighting at the start gives way to cold, dramatic tones, symbolizing the impending disaster. This staging transforms the visit into a powerful narrative experience.
Located in Parc de la Villette, this Titanic exhibition is easily accessible and suitable for all ages, starting at 8 years old. Allow about 1.5 hours to fully enjoy the immersive experience.
