Two simultaneous exhibitions dedicated to the artist Charles RAY

Charles Ray is an American sculptor born in 1953. The artist multiplies materials, scales and subjects with a particular attention dedicated to the details to question the spectator. We find in his art the influence of different movements, from Greek antiquity to Giacometti. This year, a third of his works are exhibited for the first time in France and in Europe.

The two exhibitions answer each other and are therefore arranged in the same way, with space. Indeed, in order to be highlighted the sculptures of the artist take place in bare rooms which gives them their magnitude and allows the works to act all the more on the viewer. These choices of materials, scales and subjects as well as their relationship between them offers a real game of questioning to the visitors.
