The Marais quarter, a parisian must-see

Today, the Marais district is one of the busiest areas of the capital, with many tourists seduced by its cobbled streets, small shops and historic places.

What to see and visit ?

Place des Vosges is the oldest square in Paris, and one of the most beautiful ones. Its exceptional architecture, numerous arcades and historic atmosphere make it the perfect place for a romantic evening. Other historical places can be seen in the surrounding area, such as the Baroque Saint-Paul-Saint-Louis church and its pretty colorful clock, as well as the Victor Hugo house, a museum dedicated to the artist. L’Hôtel de Ville (the Town Hall) and its huge square hosting many events, the Beaubourg center, temple of contemporary art and its panoramic rooftop restaurant, the Picasso National Museum, and many other small museums, mansions and churches make this quarter an important cultural and historical district of Paris !

Where to eat ?

Le Marais is a perfect gourmet district, where you can enjoy delicious lunch and french gastronomic dinners in some beautiful restaurants such as Glou, Art de la Truffe or Robert et Louise. We also invite you to taste the famous falafels of Paris at L’As du Fallafel. And for sweet tooths, great pastry chefs such as Yann Couvreur, Pierre Hermé and Christophe Michalak have opened their shops there, offering the best desserts in Paris. Our selection: Yann Couvreur's yule log, Pierre Hermé's iconic flavor macarons and Christophe Michalak's Saint-Honoré. Real French delicacies !

Where to shop ?

The Marais and its small streets offer nearly 200 shops of all kinds, such as in rue Vieille-du-Temple, rue du Temple and rue Charlo.
