The Festival of Lights is back in Paris!

Winter is synonymous with night falling earlier and earlier in Paris. It is then the occasion to go out and discover the city which shines of thousand fires, through strolls between windows and Christmas illuminations! Here are a few places that are essential to these strolls:

 

Christmas windows: If you go to Paris during the Christmas period, visiting the Christmas windows while listening to "Last Christmas" by Wham is a faithful tradition! Take the time to stroll through the Galeries Lafayettes and Printemps Haussman, passing by the BHV Marais and not forgetting the Bon Marché Rive Gauche.

 

Christmas lights: Christmas lights are displayed on avenues of the capital such as the famous Champs-Elysées avenue, the avenue Montaigne and the place Vendôme or in districts such as Montmartre and Bercy village.

 

Festival of lights at the Jardin des Plantes: Like every year, the Jardin des Plantes sets up its gigantic illuminated animal statues in a magical atmosphere.

 

Lumières ! at the Villette: At the Parc de la Villette, the exhibition Lumières ! takes you on a magical journey with free access. Discover luminous works of art, decorations and a light show on the Ourcq canal.

 

Lumières en Seine at the Domaine de Saint-Cloud: An incredible and huge festival that will enchant your evening ! On the program, a night stroll on a course of more than two kilometers on which you will discover luminous projections, games of lasers and illuminated water and whole structures. Bonus: ephemeral gourmet chalets are set up along the route to get your strength back with vin chaud or marshmallows!
