"Niki de Saint Phalle, Jean Tinguely, Pontus Hultén" exhibition at the Grand Palais

From June 20, 2025 to January 4, 2026, the Grand Palais celebrates the audacity and complicity of two major figures in modern art: Niki de Saint Phalle and Jean Tinguely, as seen through the eyes of their lifelong accomplice and supporter, Pontus Hultén.

The incandescent couple of the artistic avant-garde, Saint Phalle and Tinguely have always seen creation as an act of joyful revolt against the norm. This exhibition, drawing on the Centre Pompidou's rich collections and international loans, retraces their prolific career, supported by Pontus Hultén, visionary director and fervent advocate of an art that is participatory, free and profoundly human.

Monumental installations, iconic works, rare archives and immersive reconstructions reveal a playful, provocative and militant aesthetic, embodied by such emblematic projects as the Stravinsky Fountain and the mythical Nana Hon - en Katedral.

To get there from the Hôtel du Jeu de Paume, take the metro from Pont Marie (line 7), change at Opéra for line 9 to Franklin D. Roosevelt. The Grand Palais is a 5-minute walk from the station.
