Exhibition at Beaubourg – Pompidou Center:
Light on the “painter of black”
After Dali, it was the turn of the giant of abstract art, the painter Pierre Soulages, to settle on the 5th floor of the Pompidou Center for a major retrospective exhibition of this work. More than 60 years of creative activity are shown through a superb exhibition of more than a hundred major works from 1946 to the present day with a main focus on his recent developments. More than a perspective, the exhibition offers an exploration into the mind of the artist till the famous period known as “noire lumière” where strange light reflections play on monochrome backgrounds.

Exhibition at the Beaubourg – Pompidou Center every day (except Tuesday) from 11am to 9pm. Thursday evenings until 10pm.

Renoir at the Grand Palais – great retrospective of the master of impressionism
“I begin to learn painting. It took more than 50 years to achieve this work, although still incomplete” so spoke Pierre-Auguste Renoir about his work in 1913.
